Who We Are

Established in 1985

The Catholic Foundation of North-Central Louisiana was established in 1985 as a lay organization to provide administration or act as Trustee for property donated to the Foundation. It provides the distributions of earnings for religious, charitable, and other educational purposes, in accordance with the terms of gifts, bequests or devises to the Corporation.

The Foundation management and board members work with attorneys and individuals desiring to establish a permanent endowment under which income is distributed to specified beneficiaries. It engages in securing and administering these gifts without burdening the clergy or distracting from their normal duties. Priests are represented on the Board of Directors of the Foundation since they frequently are the first person contacted when a parishioner is considering an endowment or bequest. A detailed listing of the members of our Board is part of this section of our website.
